[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”1328″ border_color=”grey” img_link_target=”_self” img_size=”full”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”2/3″][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1426707556346{margin-top: 20px !important;}”]The Mid-Willamette Jobs Council (Jobs Council) met on Tuesday, March 3 and selected Commissioner Craig Pope as Chair and Commissioner Roger Nyquist as Vice Chair. The Jobs Council is comprised of two county commissioners from each of Linn, Marion, Polk and Yamhill counties. The Council identified potential candidates for the Mid-Valley Workforce board and the next steps will be to contact those individuals to verify whether they are still interested in serving on the new board.
The Jobs Council will be meeting on April 8 at 2:00 pm at the Incite office to formally appoint the new Workforce Board. Staff will send the potential candidates an application to complete and will ask candidates to attend the April 8 meeting if possible. The new Workforce Board will convene their first meeting on Friday, April 24 at 7:30 am at the Chemeketa Center for Business and Industry building located at 626 High St NE Room 203 Salem.
