This will create a new Jobs Council that will include Linn County Commissioners, a Workforce Board set up according to the new WIOA legislation, and a non-profit board for our 501c3. The Commissioners have met to begin working on this structure. The meeting included John Chamberlin, WIOA attorney, hired by the state to help Local Boards set up their legal structures according to the new laws. Local county attorneys will be involved and they have selected the Marion County attorney as their point of contact with John Chamberlin. There is a lot of work to do and we will keep you posted as things evolve.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
