SALEM, OR –Incite Inc, held its second strategic planning session at the Keizer Civic Center yesterday on October 14th at 2:00 pm. Employed and unemployed individuals in the workforce from diverse backgrounds were interviewed and asked to give testimony on their experiences looking for work and advancing in their careers.  They voiced their challenges locating work and gave suggestions on improving the workforce force system for the regional Workforce Board’s consideration. The public, including but not limited to, business owners, employers, educational institutions, workforce system staff, job seekers, economic development and community partners were also present to provide input during the breakout sessions.

The following draft strategy and goals for discussion were:

    • Workforce Aspirations
      • Defined as: Inspiring individuals to reach beyond the status quo in their professional careers

Goal 1:  Promote the development of meaningful relationships with job seekers where transformative conversations occur.

Goal 2:  Develop accessible and understandable goals unique to each individual.

Goal 3:  Develop system staff to increase the quality of service.

The final of three planning meetings will be held at 7:30am on November 6th, 2015 at the Keizer Civic Center located at 930 Chemawa Rd NE Keizer, Oregon 97303. Meeting dates and times are available at inciteworks.org and will continue to be announced in future press releases.
