Youth Service Providers and One-Stop Operator Selected for the Region

On behalf of Willamette Workforce Partnership (WWP), we are pleased to announce the awardees for our most recent Request for Proposal (RFP) for Youth and One-Stop Operator Services. Our competitive grant-awarding process had great participation and was highly competitive. While WWP could not fund all the bidders, WWP staff and RFP scoring members commend all applicants for their outstanding submissions and continued commitment to serving individuals in the Mid-Willamette Valley.

We value the efforts and enthusiasm shown in many of the applications, and we hope the organizations who participated will consider future RFPs from WWP. Funding will begin on July 1, 2025, and will continue through program year 2026.

Youth Services

One-Stop Operator Services

New to our Youth Services program, the Mid-Willamette Valley Community Action Agency (MWVCAA) will receive funds to expand access to youth in Marion County. Currently, MWVCAA provides comprehensive youth programming through HOME Youth Services (HYS), focused on individuals aged 11–24 who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness.

Through positive, relationship-based case management, case managers assist youth to work towards self-sufficiency. WWP is looking forward to working with MWVCAA as they increase housing support, education opportunities, and pathways to employment and wellness for youth in our region.

Reintroducing Incumbent Worker Training

WWP believes great teams are built on continuous learning. That’s why Incumbent Worker Training (IWT) is being reimagined as Train to Retain: Skill Up Willamette.

This employer-driven program helps private and nonprofit businesses upskill their current team to stay competitive, boost retention, and avoid layoffs.

Whether you need customized classroom training or hands-on learning, we’ll help you cover the cost.

✔ Up to $25,000 per year per company

✔ Up to $5,000 per employee

✔ Choose your own training provider

✔ Apply for up to 3 trainings per cycle

Some examples of training that have been supported in the past are:

  • Lean Manufacturing
  • SHRM (Human Resources Training)
  • Aircraft Maintenance and Repair Training
  • Brain Spotting Certification and Anger Management
  • OHC Crane Inspector Certification

With support from WWP, you can turn potential into progress. Contact Suzie Gibson at [email protected] to discuss how WWP can help.
