The project is called “Rethinking Job Search” implementing workshops that address social and psychological barriers to unemployment in ten WorkSource Centers throughout Oregon over the next four years. The new contractor for evaluation is Public Policy Associates out of Lansing, Michigan. Public Policy Associates met with Incite staff and partners such as Oregon Employment Department Staff including the Directors of Unemployment Insurance and Employment Services, Department of Research, and Worksystems, Inc. The meeting was a kick-off to the project, allowing partners of the evaluation and project implementation components to meet, get on the same page with the project plan, and problem solve potential upcoming challenges. Public Policy Associates said they do work all over the US and have never seen anything like this project telling us how innovative this it is within the United States.
