WWP Distributes $1.3 Million in Future Ready Oregon Grant Funding

Willamette Workforce Partnership is pleased to announce that it has disbursed $1.3 million in Future Ready Oregon grant funding to seven community-based organizations to deliver training for the skills needed in occupations that earn $17.00/hour or more.

This round of Future Ready Oregon funding is supporting projects that address occupational skills training in high demand occupations. Entities serving Marion, Polk, Yamhill and Linn counties, that prioritize expanded opportunities for members of rural communities, people of color, women, individuals with disabilities, and low-income individuals received these funds.

The entities awarded Future Ready Oregon funds include:

Chemeketa Community College, located in Marion, Polk, and Yamhill Counties, received $180,957 to train 30 individuals in Commercial Truck Driving.

Interface Network, located in Marion County, received $244,588 to train 24 bilingual individuals as Emergency Medical Technicians.

Interface Network, located in Marion County, received $211,798 to train 40 individuals as Community Health Workers.

Knife River Training Center, located in Linn County, received $249,999 to train 64 individuals in Civil Construction.

McMinnville School District, located in Yamhill County, received $164,000 to train 12 individuals in Heavy Equipment Operator training and 30 in Traffic Control/Flagger training.

Salem for Refugees, located in Marion County, received $203,364 to train eight individuals as airline pilots.

Willamina School District, located in Yamhill County, received $82,000 to train 60 individuals in Commercial Truck Driving.
